With the assistance of Extended Hands, a family in Velagaleru, India, received a Rickshaw and started his own business. Another family in Marripalem, India was supported with the purchase of a sewing machine so they could start their own business. This is what is meant by teaching people how to fish and not supplying fish to them. The people of Duvvada, Andhra Pradesh, India received a well from Extended Hands, so the whole community can benefit. Extended Hands has supported orphanages in Africa, India and Thailand. Extended Hands supported a Children's Camp in Khon Kaen North Eastern Thailand (approx. 450klm from Bangkok) for 250 children and 69 Adults. The children came from various background e.g. some physically impaired, orphaned, physically and sexually abused.
